Defnitions of Suspense

Suspense in films make audiences anxious and uncertain about forthcoming events. Suspense is used widely in thriller films by directors in order to influence audiences to feel curious and to try to figure out further happenings in the film and its ending. This is very effective as the use of suspense allows the story to be told without directly stating it to the audience, therefore having a particularly powerful effect on the audience by making them contemplate and being shocked by what actually happens in a film.
